The hydraulic sintered segment are mainly used for stone cutting saw blades, and some are used for dry cutting of asphalt and concrete through laser welding. The diameter of saw blades for stone cutting is the most abundant, ranging from 250-4500mm saw blades, of which 250 -600mm saw blades are mainly used for edge cutting, while 450-850mm are mainly used for stone splitting, while 900-3500mm circular saw blades are used for block cutting, and 2200-4500mm saw blades can also be used for stone mining . As for vacuum brazing, the diamond is fixed to the saw blade steel base by brazing, the main diameter is 105-400mm, and the main feature is rapid cutting, which is used in fire fighting sites and markets that require high cutting speed, such as Europe, the United States and other regions.
The main components of the diamond segment are: synthetic diamond powder (about 10%), iron powder (about 60%-70%), copper powder (about 8%-15%), tin powder (about 7%-10%) , other metal powders (about 3%-5%) and some non-metallic bonding agents (paraffin, etc.), these components will vary with the different cutting materials, especially the segment with life requirements and sharpness requirements.
The production process of diamond segment is: after the diamond and various metal powders are weighed according to the proportion, these raw material powders are mixed and fully stirred, and then compressed into small pieces of various specifications by an automatic cold press. The small pieces are heated after reloading the mold, then sintering. if there is an interlayer, you need to make a non-working layer or add iron sheets. The sintering process is manifested as the adhesion between the powder particles, the volume of the segment shrinks, the density increases, and the strength increases, so that the aggregate of the powder particles (cold pressed blank) becomes the agglomerate of crystal grains (the segment). The segment obtains the required physical and mechanical properties-strength, hardness, abrasion resistance, and diamond holding power. After hot pressing and sintering, it is sandblasted and the welding surface is arc ground. In the early stage of cutting, the segment needs to be opened, mainly using a grinding wheel or a belt. After open, the diamond powder in the segment is exposed on the surface of the metal bond and has a certain degree of grinding and cutting performance.
The diamond segment is finally fixed on the saw blade steel base by welding. It can be used to cut hard materials such as stone, concrete, ceramic tiles, asphalt, brick walls, and floors. After the segment is consumed, a new segment can be welded, and the saw blade steel base can be reused. Repeated use for many times, until the saw blade steel base has deformation, cracks, bending and other quality problems that seriously affect the cutting.
